PrinTrace is cloud print ERP for print shops and digital printing companies, made by DPS Soluzioni Informatiche in Rome since 2010. In the printing industry this kind of software is also called a print MIS: PrinTrace goes further, with accounting, inventory and purchasing in the same system. It covers the whole workflow in one piece of software: quotes for offset, digital and large-format printing, jobs and production, inventory, e-invoicing through Italy’s SDI system, the dashboard and the customer portal.

Do I need to install anything?
No. PrinTrace is cloud-based: open your browser on a PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone and you’re in. Your data sits on data centres in Italy, backed up every night. Security and updates are managed by DPS.
How long does it take to get started? And what about my data?
We load your records during onboarding, using your own data. You start with quotes and jobs, which are the functions people learn first. Customers who’ve made the switch tell us they were up to speed within a few days. You switch on accounting whenever you’re ready: you can use PrinTrace up to issuing the invoice and keep the rest where it is.
Do I have to use everything straight away?
No. You switch on functions at your own pace. Many companies start with quotes, jobs and invoices and add inventory and the dashboard later, in the same system.
Does it work for offset and digital together?
Yes. Offset, small-format digital and large-format printing each have dedicated processes in the same system, with the same customer records and the same inventory. Cutting plotters, embroidery and screen printing are included.
