Do I have to install anything to use PrinTrace?
No. PrinTrace works in the browser. Open the address, enter your credentials and work, from PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone. You don’t need servers on site, licences to install or updates to download. A new user can start as soon as they receive access.
Where does my data sit?
In a data centre in Italy, on servers managed by DPS Soluzioni Informatiche of Rome. Your business’s data and your clients’ data stay in Italy. You know who manages it and who to ask: the same partner that gives you the software and support.
How often do you back up?
Every night. Backup is included in the service and DPS runs it, with no action needed from you. You don’t have to buy disks, remember to run it or check that it worked. If a PC in the office fails, the data isn’t on it. It’s in the data centre, and you carry on from another device.
Can I use PrinTrace from my smartphone?
Yes. PrinTrace works from PC, Mac, tablet and smartphone, with the same credentials. From your smartphone, you check the dashboard, the status of jobs and client data when you’re away from the business. It’s the same data that whoever’s working in the office sees.
What happens if the internet connection drops?
PrinTrace works over the internet, so during an outage you can’t log in. The data isn’t at risk, though: it sits in the data centre, not on your PC. As soon as the connection is back, you log in again and carry on. Many businesses keep a backup connection, even a smartphone as a hotspot.
